All you need to know about my 14 day Wellness Reset.

I want to start by saying I have debated SO many times on if I actually wanted to share these images or not as I am still so far from where I want to be, but I realized that by sharing them I may help someone else who is struggling to feel good in their own body (especially other mama’s that are in the thick of having babies). It’s so easy to compare yourself to others, but just remember that we all have a different story! So while I realllllyyy feel uncomfortable sharing these, I really hope they can help someone!

Alright, now let’s get into it……….

Heading into the new year, I knew I needed to do something to regain control of my physical/mental health. Over the last 4 years I have welcomed two beautiful (yet feral) little boys into this world, and while I have been great at making sure they live a healthy-well balanced life, I have let my own health slip through the cracks. I decided that 2025 was going to be the year I reclaimed my health again. The year I took care of BOTH myself and my family. Insert the 14 Day Reset, and I am now down 5 lbs and feeling more ready than ever to continue tackling my goals in the New Year!

What is the 14 day Reset?

The 14 day reset is a challenge that consists of:

  • ~ Moving your body every day

  • ~ Drinking half your body weight in ounces of water

  • ~ Eating clean

Moving your body:

There are SO many different ways you can move your body, but the movement that I chose to do everyday during this reset was a modified version of the 12-3-30 treadmill workout. What is the 12-3-30? It’s simply setting your treadmill at a 12% incline (easier said than done, so I started at 8% and worked up to 10%), at a 3mph speed, for 30 minutes. This workout is effective, yet ATTAINABLE. As a busy mom of two and someone who hasn’t worked out in years, I wasn’t ready to jump into any big workout programs or commit to going to the gym every day. So when I found this treadmill workout, I knew I wanted to start implementing it.

If you want to step this workout up a notch, add a weighted vest in! They recommend choosing one that is around 10% of your body weight. It’s a bit of a challenge right away, but again.. it’s an effective, yet attainable option! I definitely could tell I was working my core way more once adding this in. I think that was a huge part in losing so much in my waist during this reset.

Even now that my 14 day reset is over, I plan on continuing to do this walk as much as I can!

Hydration:

Hydration is absolute key to not only weight loss, but every day wellness in general. Drinking half your body weight in ounces of water may seem impossible, but I promise it’s not! Fueling your body:

Making sure that you are eating a healthy and well balanced diet is so important. Something I have been trying to implement lately is eating at least 100g protein/day. Do your own research on how much protein you think is right for your body. This is just something I personally feel like has been huge in keeping me full longer, curbing my cravings, and building muscle! A key part in getting that much protein in everyday has been drinking my FlavCity Protein Shakes. I have one every time I am done with my 12-3-30 walk, and sometimes will even use it as a meal replacement when I’m busy or on the go (hello mom life). An example of what I ate in a day for this reset:

Breakfast - 3 eggs with bell peppers, spinach, a pinch of cheese, 1/2 an avocado, and a drizzle of taco sauce with 3 chicken sausages (we love the “Jones” brand from Costco as there are no added sugars).

Lunch - A caesar salad with a grilled chicken breast and 2 hard boiled eggs.

Supper - This really varied day to day. Some sort of protein (Chicken or Steak is pretty common in our house), a healthy side like rice or sweet potatoes), and a vegetable.

Snack - I noticed that I snacked WAY less while on this reset. I felt so full all the time, which I’m sure was thanks to making sure I got in enough protein and water. If I did snack, I would have a Chomp’s beef stick, string cheese, or some of my homemade protein balls (hoping to share the recipe in a blog post soon).

Drinking Ningxia Red:

What is Ningxia Red? All in all, I am BEYOND happy with my results from this reset. Yes, I lost 5lbs. But more importantly, I look and FEEL so much better (both physically and mentally). After this reset, I went on a family getaway where we ate nothing but junk. Let me tell you, my body felt it. A big thing I want to focus on this year is being mindful of what I put in my body, because I know how crappy it makes me feel when I indulge on large portions and junk food. I am all about living life, but I truly believe there is a good healthy balance. Something I always try to remind myself is that we only have one chance at this beautiful life we were blessed with. And to get us through that one life we only have ONE body. So why not take care of it?
